Recently our dear friend Natalie Hjort made an announcement in the photography forum that she would have to pull out of a contest as her father was very ill. Sadly the worst has now happened and with her agreement I am posting the announcement she has made on her Facebook page:

We regret to inform you that my and Björn's beloved father, Gunnel's loving husband, Fredrik's and Ylva's wonderful father-in-law, Linnéa's and Evelinas most loved grandfather unexpectedly left us in great mourning last Saturday, at the East Hospital in Gothenburg from acute blood sepsis. He is greatly missed and will always remain in our hearts.

Natalie and her family are very close and are helping each other to cope with the situation which has happened very suddenly.

Oh, Natalie. If only I could be there to help.

All I can do from here is offer you and your family virtual hugs and the reminder to only remember the good things and good times.
If it happens, it must be possible.

Deepest sympathies Natalie
I have no idea what I'm doing... But it hasn't stopped me yet.

My condolences to you and your family
The trouble with learning from experience is that the test comes first and the lesson afterwards.
