This is the posting thread for the 30 Day September Challenge (info and rules here)! Feel free to join us and post your photos below :)

One post per user please - let's keep this thread uncluttered. Instead, edit your post as the challenge runs and replace your daily image in the same post, so that everyone can monitor your submissions. ("Extra posts" will be moved/removed).

You are very welcome to display a few days at the samt time if you want to. Like say the shot of the day, and a couple of the days before.

This thread is only for those who want to play. Want to comment? Feel free to do so on the "pages" (blogs, Flickr, Smugmug, etc.) of the participants, or if they don't have any, you can comment in "the comment thread".

It has been a very long time since I have played here. I hope I can remember how. I am trying to learn light blading and light tubing, so my intention is to take a learning photo every day... if that can't be done, then I will post a processed one at least....or that is the intention :)
Day 23 - Today I tried learning how to use solid glass balls... lotsa learning curve here for sure [IMAGE]Image092318DS6_7019 by Madame Mountain Lion, on Flickr[/IMAGE]

SPRING - IS IN THE AIR

Day 23.

So, with another airshow today - a military one nogal (google that if you want) - it's time to put the last one to bed. I've uploaded all the remaining photos from the last one to my flickr account, please feel free to breeze through them if you like.
The remaining photo's for this forum will now be a little more exciting, starting with the SAAF Hawk MK120. Isn't it pretty :- )

You write about the moon, but you're wrong about the stars.

8 years ago I did a W1k January 30 day challenge that became a 365 challenge, celebrating the first year of my son's life. So I think the theme this time will be a very loose one around "family".

Day 18 - off on my travels...

Between a few days away with work, and then a family weekend away, this will be the last post until next Monday probably, so I'll have plenty of shots to catch up on!

Once again I have many questions that I wish I had asked the photographer before it was too late....This slide may or may not be Mexico.

Fixed the best I can. Suggestions welcome. The original color may be better on this one. Not sure.

The Soundtrack

I had to see how far Flickr goes and instead of doing it wide, I took the panoramic image in portrait orientation. This made for a 10k pixel high and 4k pixel wide image, which I reduced to just 1920 x 5600 px -- but Flickr seems to make it even smaller. Well, still a different view, far from what one gets using a wide angle lens.

Late to the party...I am both a day ahead and a day behind :)
In October last year, my husband and I had our first overseas holiday together in over 15 years. We enjoyed Noumea and New Caledonia so much we are going back later this month. So to get in the mood I thought I would process some more images from our previous trip and get some ideas on what to look for and improve on next time.

Image collection is at https://plus.google.com/u/0/collection/0SIUYF for larger versions

Sorry for delays. Been doing so much it took a while to find the patience to work out how to use the iPad for editing and uploading. Not sure if I have right link for the image, fingers crossed. OK had to login on husbands laptop, doesn't seem to be a way of copying photo location on an iPad.

Day 21 - the taller the building the more important the owner! (Day 18 - 21 photos were taken with iPhone SE and edited in Snapseed on iPad).

Day 20 - We had an amazing day trip with Manual who runs Noumea Tours, the last place we visited was th Tjibaou Cultural Centre which has some traditional grande cases in the grounds. This is the entrance to what would have been a chiefs home.

Day 19 - View back to Anse Vata, our hotel is in front of the large building on the left, we are just over the road from the beach, it is so nice to hear the waves again.

Day 18 - Underwater shot taken with iPhoneSE with Hitcase Pro cover. Scary taking a phone underwater. I thought the photos would be easier to take with a large screen but I still had trouble seeing even wearing contacts and on my first swim along the underwater snorkel trail a setting changed and it stopped working which I couldn’t tell. This is at Ile aux Canards or Duck Island a short water taxi ride from Anse Vata beach.
