Do the spaces count as characters? Can you italicize in tweets?
I've never actually seen a tweet.
I bought my friend an elephant for his room. He said, "Thanks." I said, "Don't mention it."

Well since this isn't twitter I imagine you can do whatever you want - as long as it is not more than 140 characters. Yes, spaces count. Markup code doesn't.

Brought some cards to Thanksgiving, teaching my grand niece solitaire. Younger grand niece walks up and says "Oh that's that game on the computer."

I hear you.

My niece saw a rotary phone and asked me what it was.

Me: "That's a phone."
Melanie: "No, it's not. Phones don't have wires or holey (sic) number wheels on them."

Funny how so many fronts of cars look like stormtrooper's faces. Makes you think.

Tried to post a contest last night. Apparently Firefox doesn't work. Chrome does. Will post it tonight. Urban Fiction Holiday. #WritingDeck

What's urban fiction?

In the same vein as my niece asking what "the weird cabinet with the gray mirror and long, metal poles on its head(sic)" was and why it had numbered knobs on it.

Ral: "That's a TV."
Mel: "No it isn't. TV's are flat and they hang on the wall."
