I read a poem about what to bring to a beheading today and it inspired me to pen this.
Anyone is welcome if they would like to add something macabre to this thread.

The Escalator

I am so scared that escalators
Suck kids through their teeth
And maul them 'til they scream in pain
And moosh them down beneath

The janitors will swab their blood
And flush it down the drain
Their bones will get stuck in the mop
And stab into their brain

None will let their mothers know
What has become their fate
They will walk oblivious
Right past that sewer grate

But here it comes, I have arrived
I'm at the stairway top
I know I'll beat my fear someday
But until then I'll hop
I bought my friend an elephant for his room. He said, "Thanks." I said, "Don't mention it."
