I am noticing that everything looks like a box! Funny you should mention that though because I was wondering if there was some way to do say, 6-sided objects.

It's getting near the end of the month and I am still struggling just to crawl. :augh: But I have one more dumb question. Am I allowed to put something on the "outside" of the vanishing points? I guess I don't really understand what those points represent, but the block in pink looks almost right to me.

Looks good except the top and bottom lines of the pink box should now be going to a new vanishing point on the right (off the page), not the one on the left.
Aargh!

Doing this on a phone so excuse me.

What's getting you in trouble is the green box right of the yellow vanishing point. Its out of perspective. Its going away from the vanishing point.

Keep at it. Keep trying. Build your skills. Everything you do you lends to your visual language vocabulary. This is a marathon not a sprint. Most of all Tell your story. :) tell the story only you can tell.

Edit
I didn't think i would find it but i did. Here is a very famous Chinese artist. This painting sold at auction for 2+ mill. Very well rendered. Now put a 1 point perspective on the image....

This goes to show we all need practce and reminders of the basics....

So don't give up.

That's what I thought too, but I've never seen anybody mention 3 vanishing points like that on one horizon. Is that allowed in one picture? It seems like neither of the vanishing points can be within the picture, or does it then become a one point perspective like this alley?

The alley has one vanishing point and the buildings each have one other way on either side. Can I even do the arrangement I have?

First the skewed horizon can be confusing. So I straightened out the horizon/eyeline so we can do this easier. (old photography worth tutorial)
Yes it's a two point perspective
