One more thank you… to you, readers of this thread, just for stopping by!
This Monthly Sketch Group forum got a whole lot of viewing over the years.
Much appreciated.
Briefly, my sketch was inspired by a photo I took many years ago of a child with a gas mask. Flipping through my photo library, I came across a rooster. The surreal, apocalyptic idea snowballed from there. I spent the first hour on the line art. The second hour was messing around with Photoshop brushes. As for the reflection where the left eye belongs… an explosion? or dawn? … I’m not quite sure yet.
But I intend to finish this piece, and when I do, I’ll post it here to show you what it becomes.
I’m truly stoked to finally earn the ‘Sketcher of the Year’ title.
Seven years of sketching. What a ride!
