Re: Daily Tweet

MBD is in the hospital. He'll be home tomorrow sufficiently recovered from his fall. But, I am afraid the curtain has risen on the last act....

Re: Contest Ideas

You could do an alphabet challenge in Multimedia. Then you wouldn't have to think of a subject for 2 years.

Re: Daily Tweet

MBD is a lot older and more frail than he was when I started this. He doesn't do much any more except eat and sleep. However he is still unfailingly good natured, gentle, and seems to be happy to be alive. I guess that's as good as it gets at this point.

Re: Daily Tweet

For 25 years every time I came in the house I knew instantly whether MBD was there. If not, the house felt empty somehow, and I could never quite relax until he came in. Then I realized I no longer "felt" his presence, even when I could see him. It wasn't until several months went by, and ...

Re: Daily Tweet

When we went places MBD and I often went our separate ways. Whether at a mall, in the park, or exploring a strange town, we never made arrangements to meet. After a time, sometimes as I wondered how I would ever find him, MBD would magically appear at my side. Now I can disappear just by stepping be...

Re: Daily Tweet

MBD liked to play cribbage, so when we met he taught me. He always slaughtered me. Every time I asked him how he knew which cards to give me that would be completely useless to me, he told me he read my mind. Finally I decided to believe him and purposely held in my mind the opposite of what I reall...

Re: Daily Tweet

MBD still occasionally deals out his favorite solitaire game. Sometimes he even goes through the motions of playing it, but mostly he just puts the cards in order to make sure they are all still there. (He drops them on the floor a lot.)

Re: Daily Tweet

Once MBD tuned out I spent well over an hour trying to help SIL understand about suits and red cards and black cards and how to play the standard solitaire game. I wrote everything down for her to reference. Then I went to bed. Next day SIL told us she had won the solitaire game for the first time e...

Re: Daily Tweet

Of course SIL tried to teach MBD how to play solitaire on the computer. Of course MBD couldn't see how playing on a black and white computer monitor was better than playing with real cards. Of course it was soon obvious that SIL didn't really understand how to play because she was completely unfamil...
