Re: Changes as it happened .. tales from the QM deck

You Quartermaster guys are doing a fabulous job keeping this place going and I still feel so bad that I have not been able to stay along for the ride. My studies have kept me manically busy these past three years, but I am having a break over this summer, so of course, came straight back here to see...

Re: Comment thread - 30 Day September Challenge 2019

Oh, I so much wish I had the time to play this game this month, but it's just not going to happen, I am afraid! You guys have all made a great start, and special kudos to those shooting new stuff every day, but I do love the idea of giving older photos a bit of an airing too, and doing some special ...

Re: Comment thread - 30 Day June Challenge 2018

Wow, wow, wow! It's so awesome to see all the usual suspects from Worth's heyday of 30-day challenges, and I really feel sad that I am not participating! But I know I really wouldn't have the time to do it justice! However, you guys are rocking it so far, starting with a bang! Egon, you are one brav...

Re: Photo challenge?

Oooh, I'd so love to commit to something like this, but my studies will not allow me, I am afraid. It's been far too long though...

Good luck to all those who DO participate.

Re: Anyone up for a holiday photo processing challenge?

Oooh, I'd love to do this, but I am still up to my eyeballs with studying. We just got back from a wonderful holiday too!

Best of luck to those who embark on this!

Re: Nailed It!

Great shot, MrsHjort, but I would suggest making the text black so that it is easier to read against the grey tiles.

Re: Nailed It!

Here we call those snakebirds or darters, but now that I look that up , it seems Anhingas is the family and genus name for it, and it doesn't have too many relatives! The Australasian darter is quite common around here, and they often hang out with the cormorants so they all sit in a row and dry the...
