WHAT IS MULTIMEDIA?
Multimedia means just what it says: the use of any media, both traditional and digital, including digital apps, to create a work of art which can embrace any style: naturalism, surrealism, impressionism, expressionism, pop, or anything else. Your work could be a photograph, photo manipulation, illustration, 3D, or any combination of them. It could also be a model, collage, embroidery, or any other craft – in which case you would need to submit a photograph or a scan of the work. The art is what matters – the style and how you produce it is up to you.

HOW DO I ENTER A MULTIMEDIA CONTEST ON DAGGER BAY?
  1. Create an account if you don’t have one yet.
  2. Find a contest that you like that is open for entry.
  3. Read the contest rules and make sure your entry meets their requirements and the general Multimedia Rules.
  4. You must be the original artist of all the work you submit. You should not, for example, take someone else’s work, apply a few filters to it and claim it as your own.

DO MY CREATIONS STAY MINE AFTER I ENTER THEM?
Yes. Dagger Bay doesn't take away any of your rights to your art, you simply give Dagger Bay permission to display it.

WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED IN MULTIMEDIA CONTESTS?
    • Anything pornographic or any material which may violate International Law or the laws of any country.
    • Anything overtly political, religious or offensive in intention which could provoke antagonism or hostility or cause distress.
    • The use of children in your images is not permitted unless you have a model release. If you are permitted to use the child / children in the image you must specifically state this in your comments.
    • If you use material from other sources (e.g. in a photo-manipulation) you must establish that you have the legal right to use it.
    • Your image cannot contain a signature or web address or any form of advertising.
    • You cannot resubmit an image that has been used in any previous contest on Dagger Bay.

      ARE THERE SIZE REQUIREMENTS?
Your image should be large enough for people to be able to see what you have done. Images that look more like thumbnails will be removed. Try to keep your entries around 1000 pixels wide for the best viewing.
